Der Morgen war wieder schoen und wir fruehstueckten draussen am Fluss.
The morning was beautiful again, and we enjoyed breakfast outside by the creek.
Wir packten zusammen, machten aber am Eingang zum BLM Land nochmal einen Halt, da auch hier wieder Infotafeln angebracht waren.
We broke camp but made another stop at the entrance to this BLM land since there were also information boards installed.

Unser Ziel waren die St. Anthony Sandduenen.

Bloederweise war hier der Zugang nur mit offroad Fahrzeugen, also Motorraedern, ATV und Buggies erlaubt. na wie doof :-(. Somit haben wir uns das aber mal fuer spaeter gemerkt und jetzt nur ein paar Fotos gemacht.
Well, entrance to the dunes was only allowed with an off road vehicle like motorbike, ATV or side by sides. So bad luck for us but we'll keep this location in mind for later years, and at least I took some pictures.

Es war sehr schwuel an dem Tag, und so ueberlegten wir, was wir machen koennten. Neben dem Highway sahen wir einen See mit Campingplatz. Somit prueften wir schnell online nach, und fuer eine Nacht waren noch Plaetze frei. Also fuhren wir spontan dort hin. Der See war nicht weit von Idaho Falls entfernt.
It was very muggy that day, and so we had to think about what to do and where to go. We noticed a lake with a campground right beside the highway, and so we checked online for availability. We found a free spot and so we drove to the lake. The lake was pretty close to Idaho Falls.
Angekommen waren wir froh, nur eine Nacht gebucht zu haben (es war anschliessend langes Wochenende wegen des 4.Juli). Einerseits war der Highway wirklich sehr laut, andererseit waren die Plaetze link, rechts und uns gegenueber von einer Gruppe mit vielen Kindern/Jugendlichen belegt. Somit liefen vor allem die Kinder von links nach rechts und umgekehrt immer wieder ueber unseren Stellplatz, was weder wir noch Pirate in irgendeiner Form toll fanden, zumal es auch nicht erlaubt ist. Dreimal haben wir es nett versucht, beim 4. Mal wurden wir dann ungehaltener und danach war es dann ertraeglich.
When we arrived, we were happy that we would only stay one night. It was really noisy due to the highway, and also the sites left, right and across from us were occupied by some friends with a lot of kids/youths. And these were running constantly across our campsite which neither us nor Pirate really liked. Three times we asked politely to stop that behavior, the fourth time was louder and that did the trick.
Den Tag verbrachten wir somit am See, mit lesen und dem Paddelboard.
We spent the day with reading and paddle boarding.
Abends hatten wir dann einen wirklich schoenen Sonnenuntergang. Wirklich ruhig wurde es dennoch nicht, was auch daran lag, dass natuerlich schon die ersten Raketen immer wieder abgeschossen wurden.
We had a really nice sunset but it didn't get quiet. This was also partly due to the early 4th of July rockets being fired.
Haetten wir das vorher gewusst, waeren wir lieber noch laenger am Birch Creek stehen geblieben.
Well, if we would have known, we would have stayed at least another night at the Birch Creek Site.
