Der Morgen war noch etwas bewoelkt aber GsD nicht kalt. Wir verliessen den Campingplatz gegen 9 Uhr und fuhren zum Strand in Copper Harbor, wo wir einen Blick auf den Leuchtturm ergattern konnten. Anschliessend ging es immer am Wasser entlang bis Houghton. Die Fotos sind nicht ueberragend, denn erstmal hatte ich nun nur noch das Handy.
It was a cloudy morning but luckily, not a cold one. We left the campground around 9 am and drove to Copper Harbor to get a view of the lighthouse. Next, we followed the shoreline of Lake Superior until Houghton. The photos are not great since I only had my mobile phone for the time being.
Es gab soooo viele tolle Plaetze, wo man an das Wasser rankonnte, und es war ueberall leer.
There were soooo many places where we could get to the lake, without seeing anyone.
In Eagle Harbor hielten wir auch beim Leuchtturm.

Jacob Falls
Unterwegs fanden wir noch diesen Leuchtturm, der sich aber in einem normalen Wohnhaus auf einem Privatgrundstueck befand
We discovered this lighthouse as well but it was integrated into a regular private residence on a private lot.

In Houghton sind wir dann zu Walmart gefahren, da die guenstige Kameras vorraetig hatten. Alles was hochwertiger war, war nirgends zu bekommen wo wir entlang kamen. Somit gab es eine Canon Rebel T7 (in Deutschland bekannt als 2000D), ein Einsteigermodell, das viele Funktionen meiner alten 70D gar nicht hatte. Aber waehlerisch sein ging nicht, und besser als mit Handy alle Mal.
In Houghton, we stopped at the local Walmart and purchased a Canon Rebel T7, a beginner's camera. Everything more elevated wasn't available anywhere at this time. It lacked a lot of functions my 70D had but there was no choice.

Und fuer ein kurzes Stueck ging es wieder rein nach Wisconsin.
For a short distance, we crossed back into Wisconsin.
Wir besuchten noch ein Besucherzentrum und haben uns mit Broschueren fuer einen weiteren Trip hierher eingedeckt.
We visited the Visitor Center and collected a lot of brochures for our next visit up here.
Wir uebernachteten auf einem Campground, der nur ein paar Fahrminuten von Duluth entfernt war, dieser war nicht komplett ausgebucht und wir hatten einen schoenen Stellplatz.
We stayed at a nice campground just a few minutes away from Duluth and had a nice time at our spot.
