Nachdem wir das Castillo verlassen hatten, bummelten wir noch etwas durch die Stadt. Wir liefen entlang des Wassers und kreuzten den Mantanzas Fluss ueber die Bridge of Lions (Bruecke der Loewen) hin und zurueck.
After we left the Castillo we walked along the shore and crossed the Mantanzas River back and forth using the Bridge of Lions.
Dabei konnten wir auch noch einmal sehen, wie die Kanone auf dem Castillo abgefeuert wurde.
We also get to watch another firing of the Castillo's canon.
Er war auf Futtersuche./ He was on the hunt.
Wir kreuzten den Plaza de la Constitucion wieder.
Again we crossed the Plaza de la Constitucion.

Wir besichtigen den Innenhof und Lobby des Flagler College. Es gibt auch taeglich Touren fuer das historische Gebaeude, aber die hatten wir zeitlich nicht geschafft. Alleine darf man sich hier nicht wirklich bewegen, da es eben ein Collegegebaeude ist.
We visited the courtyard as well as the lobby. There are daily tours offered, but we weren't able to be there on time. That building houses a regular College, so it's not appreciated by the College if one wanders around by himself.

Wir warfen einen Blick in die Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine (erbaut 1793-1797).
We visited the Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine (built 1793 - 1797).
Anschliessend bummelten wir noch etwas die St. George Street entlang, wo wir auch am Vortag bereits waren. Deshalb spare ich mir mal die Fotos. Dabei gabs dann fuer alle Eis, da es inzwischen sehr warm geworden war.
Next we strolled along the St. George St where we've already been the day before (so no photos here). We all craved some ice cream since it got quite warm that afternoon even though there wasn't really much sun.
Wir verliessen die historischen Stadtmauern und entdeckten noch einen alten Friedhof, wo vor allem die Opfer des Gelbfiebers von 1821 begraben wurden.
We left the historic city wall and discovered an old cemetery which was mainly used to bury the victims of the yellow fever of 1821.
Langsam wurde es immer dunkler, und so begaben wir uns wieder zurueck zum Placa de la Constitucion, da nun ein letztes Mal die wunderschoenen Lichter angingen.
It got darker and darker, and so we walked back to the Plaza de la Constitucion to admire the lights for the last time.

Und hier an diesem Platz blieben wir nun, bis es vollstaendig dunkel war, es war sooooo schoen erleuchtet.
We stayed at this place until it was really dark, it was soooooo beautiful with all the lights.
Am naechsten Morgen hiess es frueh aufstehen, da wir gegen 8 Uhr zurueck in Orlando sein mussten, um unseren Flug zu erwischen. Es war kalt, grau und regnerisch.
Next morning we had to get up early to catch our flight back in Orlando. It was cold, grey, and rainy.
Von einem der Balkons hatte sich am Vortag jemand heruntergestuerzt und starb. Das verursachte eine Menge Flugausfaelle und Verspaetungen am Samstag, auch fuer Kollegen von Andreas.
The day before a man jumped from one of those balconies and died, that caused a lot of flight cancellations and delays that Saturday - also for some of Andreas' co-workers.

Dann holten wir noch Pirate vom Hundesitter ab und freuten uns ueber den herrlichen Sonnenschein in Colorado. Da ist wenigstens Verlass drauf :-).
We had to pick up Pirate from the dog sitter, and really enjoyed the sunshine. Something really reliable about Colorado.
Wenn man von dem notwendigen Uebel Orlando absieht, hatten wir ganz tolle und interessante Tage an der Ostkueste. Wir freuen uns schon auf einen naechsten Besuch.
If we put aside the inevitable evil of Orlando, we had a really great time at the East Coast and looking forward to another visit.
