Am Sonntag fuhren wir entlang des Silver Thread Scenic Byway, der durch Colorados wunderschoene Natur fuehrt und wir haben uns dabei 2 kleinere Orte angeschaut.
On Sunday we followed the Silver Thread Scenic Byway which is surrounded by Colorado's beautiful nature, and we visited two smaller mining towns.

unser Campground ist direkt am Wasser, etwas links davon ist noch ein anderer, allerdings ist der auf der anderen Seite des Highways und nicht am Wasser (hat dafuer aber Strom etc)
our campground is the one right on the water, there is another a little left to it but that one is on the other side of the highway without water access (but there is power and water hook up)
Wir kamen in Lake City an und bummelten einmal entlang der Strassen. Hier gibt es noch viele historische Haeuser aus der Goldgraeberzeit und sie sind wirklich alle sehr schoen renoviert worden.
We arrived in Lake City and strolled along the streets to admire all these wonderfully restored historic houses.
Lieder konnte man die Hauptstrasse mit dem Platz davor nicht fotografieren, da alles fuer eine Veranstaltung abgesperrt war.
Unfortunately, we couldn't take a photo of the store fronts since there was a festival going on in front of it.

mal eine kleine Randnotiz: ich weiss, dass ich sehr hinterher haenge bei den Berichten, aber mir fehlt die Zeit um die Fotos zu sichten. Wir haben so gut wie keine Ausfluege im Herbst gemacht haben, die Tage sind irgendwie echt voll mit arbeiten (bei Andreas ist es noch viel stressiger als vor Corona, und wir dachten sowas ginge gar nicht mehr), Schule und was sonst so anfaellt. Uns gehts soweit aber gut und es sind alle gesund, um mehr geht es derzeit glaub ich auch gar nicht.
a small side note; I know, I'm quite behind with my entries but there is only so much time I have to go though the photos. We are really busy with work (Andreas is soooo much more busy than before Corona if that was even possible), school and daily life and we haven't even been able to do any day trips during the fall. But we are healthy and still have income, and that's what matters right now.
