12/2024: Christmas in Color

Dieser Blog begann mit unserem Umzug von Berlin in den Grossraum Vancouver (BC, Kanada). Inzwischen haben wir auch die kanadische Staatsbuergerschaft und durch den Beruf von Andreas nun die Moeglichkeit, einige Jahre in den USA zu leben. Der Umzug nach Colorado war im Juli 2016. Der Blogtitel passt somit nun nicht mehr ganz, aber da er unter diesem Namen bekannt ist, werde ich ihn auch so belassen. Vorrangig gedacht für Familie und Freunde, sind aber auch alle anderen Leser herzlich willkommen. Wir lieben es zu Reisen, wie man an der Liste unserer Ziele im Blog auch einfach sehen kann. Ueber Kommentare zu den Beitraegen oder Eintraege ins Gaestebuch freuen wir uns sehr.
We started this blog in 2011 while moving from Berlin, Germany to Greater Vancouver, Canada. The blog name was the distance between both cities, which now isn't the same anymore. In 2016 we became Canadian citizens in addition to our German citizenship. Around the same time Andreas was offered a move to the States (transfer within the same company he already was with in Canada) and so we moved to Greater Denver, Colorado, where we now live pretty rural in the Foothills of the Rockies. We love to travel as one can see in our blog posts.

12/2024: Christmas in Color

Anfang Dezember war es wieder soweit, die Weihnachtslichter waren ueberall zu sehen. Und als kleine Tradition, besuchen wir das "Cristmas in Color" bei welchem man mit dem Auto durch einen Parcour faehrt mit vielen unterschiedlichen Lichtinstallationen. Im Radio muss man eine bestimmte Frequenz ein und dann laufen passend dazu Weihnachtslieder.

At the beginning of December, it was that time again; the Christmas lights were everywhere. As a little tradition, we attended "Christmas in Color," where you drive through a course with many different light installations. You have to tune into a specific frequency on the radio, and then appropriate Christmas carols play.

Die Tickets muss man vorher online buchen und die gelten dann fuer ein ca 20min langes Zeitfenster, um hinein zu fahren. Alles ist wirklich super organisiert und laeuft problemlos ab.

You have to book the tickets online in advance, and they're valid for a time slot of about 20 minutes to get in. Everything is really well organized and runs smoothly.
