05 - 09/2025: Berlin (1)

Am 20.5.2025 ging es dann inkl. Pirate wieder nach Berlin und wir hatten 4 harte Monate vor uns mit Sanierung/Renovierung und Umzug. Der erste Beitrag widmet sich dem Rundgang nach der Hausübergabe.

On May 20, 2025, we returned to Berlin, including Pirate, and had four challenging months ahead of us with renovations and moving. This first post is dedicated to the first tour after taking possession of the house.

Die Umzugskartons fangen an, sich auf dem Balkon zu stapeln, und nach diesem Umzug bin ich einfach superbegeistert von Bananenkartons, aber auch von den grossen, stabilen Melonenkisten aus Lebensmittelläden, die sich wirklich am besten tragen ließen. Danke hier auch an Claudia, die uns auf Arbeit ganz viele Banenkartons organisiert hat.

The moving boxes are starting to pile up on the balcony, and after this move, I'm simply thrilled with banana boxes, but also with the large, sturdy melon crates from grocery stores, which were really the easiest to carry.  Thanks also to Claudia, who organized so many banana boxes for us at work.

Am 31.5. bekamen wir die Schlüssel, und so ging es zum ersten Mal durch das leere Haus. Es wurde 1982 gebaut und erhielt zuletzt vor mehr als 20 Jahren ein teilweises Update innen. Das vordere Haus hat 120 qm, 3 Zimmer auf 2 Etagen und dazu noch einen Keller. Der Rundgang begann im Obergeschoss.

On May 31, we received the keys and walked through the empty house for the first time. It was built in 1982, and it last received a partial interior update more than 20 years ago. The front house has 120 square meters, 3 rooms on two floors, and a basement. The tour began on the upper floor.

Dazu gibt es auf dem hinteren Grundstücksteil noch einen kleinen, uralten Bungalow mit knapp 70 qm, verteilt auf 3 Zimmer/Küche/Bad..

In addition, there is a small, very old bungalow on the back part of the property, measuring just under 70 square meters and comprising 3 rooms, a kitchen, and a bathroom.
